Sept 2009: 29 years old, on year 7 in China not teaching rambunctious and scarily sharp children using my whip--er, wits and every teaching tactic I can think of but now in charge of the TEACHERS in charge of scarily rambunctious kids. That's right - I've been promoted! I spend my week traveling from school to school in Shanghai evaluating our teachers, giving them help, and spend Saturday mornings with my grade 6 kids who are so intelligent it's utterly horrifying. :D

Ruthie, my adopted Shih Tzu mix and the total love of my life, brought home on Dec 4th 2005, is still ruling my apartment with an iron paw. She graciously allows me to share my home with the numerous foster animals I bring home on a daily basis. With the SCAA, we have had over a dozen fosters waltz through our doors to their forever homes. Currently we have Yuki (8-9 weeks old), Scooter (7-8 weeks old) and Sammy (3.5-4.5 weeks old) living with us.
I am a police foundations graduate and one day hope to be able to use handcuffs in a manner that won't raise eyebrows in polite society. I like to read and write slashy stories in almost every fandom you can name. I fancy myself an artist of sorts and my babyish attempts at art can be found on my dreamwidth account, under the name stormy1x2fanworks.
All of the TV shows listed in my interests section are fandoms I read and/or participate actively in. I am always willing and eager for the opportunity to go off like a squealing fan-girl, so feel free to hit me up for some shop-talk. ^^ I am particularly fond of ListVerse:
I am almost never online chatwise and email is iffy, but I always respond to an LJ comment so if you need to get in touch, there ya go.
We have come to kick ass and chew bubblegum. And we're all out of bubblegum.
